Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni says the assassination of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk shows which political side violence and intolerance belong to. The head of state emphasized that the final elimination of left-wing ideology in Europe requires a relentless fight against illegal immigration, writes Mandiner.
Her comments were sent via a video message sent to the Spanish right-wing party Vox on Sunday, on the occasion of the closing day of the “Europa Viva 25” congress of the Vox party led by Santiago Abascal.
Meloni said Kirk “paid with his life for his freedom, and his sacrifice once again showed which side violence and intolerance stand on.”

“I send a loud and clear message again to all the haters, the extremists on the streets and the false teachers who hide in the salons in suits and ties: We will not fall into their trap, we will not play into the hands of those who want to push our nations into a spiral of violence. We will not be intimidated, we will move forward and we will continue our fight for the freedom of our peoples and the future of Europe without pause.”
