Мировые новости: Игроки МСМ изгнаны из пресс-корпуса Пентагона

Mainstream media players are being kicked out of the Pentagon, in a major shakeup over how the Department of Defense communicates with the media.

In a massive overhaul of its practice allowing journalists to work from inside the building, the Trump Pentagon under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is starting a rotational program that will see four establishment media news outlets removed from their workspaces for one year, and replaced with new media outlets.

Along with NBC News, The New York Times, National Public Radio and Politico must vacate their dedicated workspaces to make way for One America News Network, the New York Post, Breitbart News Network and HuffPost.

The White House has announced a similar change to its media policy, broadening access and reversing the revocation of around 400 White House press passes under the Biden administration

InfoWars reports: The Pentagon’s Acting Press Secretary, John Ullyot, issued a memo on Friday directing that NBC News, The New York Times, National Public Radio and Politico must vacate their designated workspaces in the Pentagon for a year, to make way for The New York Post, Breitbart News and The Huffington Post.

“Each year, one outlet from each press medium — print, online, television and radio — that has enjoyed working from a physical office in the Pentagon will rotate out of the building to allow a new outlet from the same medium that has not had the unique opportunity to report as a resident member of the Pentagon Press Corps,” the memo states.

The Pentagon Press Corps benefits from direct access to the department’s most senior military and civilian leaders, through individual office spaces inside the Pentagon.

According to Ullyot, the move is intended to increase access to “outlets that have not previously enjoyed the privilege and journalistic value of working from physical office space in the Pentagon.”

The White House has announced a similar change to its media policy, broadening access and reversing the revocation of some 400 White House press passes under the Biden administration.

At a press briefing on Friday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that “the Trump White House will speak to all media outlets and personalities, not just the legacy media who are seated in this room, because apporting—according to recent polling from Gallup, Americans’ trust in mass media has fallen to a record low.  Millions of Americans, especially young people, have turned from traditional television outlets and newspapers to consume their news from podcasts, blogs, social media, and other independent outlets.”
