As part of ongoing peace negotiations, Trump and Zelensky are expected to come to terms on a minerals deal giving the U.S. 50% of Ukraine’s revenues from natural resources such as hydrocarbons and other extractable materials to repay for the insane amount of American tax dollars the Biden administration forked over to the warring country.
Commenting on the visit Tuesday, Trump told reporters, “I hear Zelensky’s coming on Friday, it’s ok with me… It could be a trillion dollar deal, it could be whatever… Biden was throwing around money like it’s cotton candy.“
Last week, President Trump slammed Zelensky as a “dictator” who “refuses to have Elections” and played Joe Biden “like a fiddle.”
Asked about the comment this week, the president changed his tune, responding to a journalist, “Did I say that? I can’t believe I said that. Next question.”
