From 1977 to 1995, the CIA ran a secretive program aimed at exploring the capabilities of individuals claiming psychic abilities.
Msn.com reports: These operatives were often referred to as “psychic spies” and were tasked with visualizing distant locations using only their minds. Officials hoped that if the method produced satisfying results, it would prove beneficial in providing intelligence beyond conventional means.
This initiative was most prominently known as Project Stargate and was Initially funded with millions of dollars. It was backed by military and intelligence personnel.
It involved training participants in controlled psychic exercises to determine if their mental perceptions could accurately describe places, events, or even enemy activity. There were some intriguing results, but skepticism from within the intelligence community eventually led to the program’s termination in the mid-1990s. The government concluded that the data collected from remote viewing was too inconsistent to consider any further investment.
Ingo Swann was one of the key participants of the project. Most of the data generated by the program remains obscure, claims and information collected by Swann garnered attention.
He was known as one of the most gifted remote viewers in the program. Swann detailed a series of surprising visions that suggested that there was alien life on the Moon’s far side, as reported by Daily Mail.
According to Swann, during a series of sessions, he perceived a complex network of unnatural structures on the Moon’s dark side—an area never directly visible from Earth. These included enormous towers, bright lights, and mechanical operations that he interpreted as evidence of intelligent, non-human activity.
Swann described the lunar structures as distinctly artificial. He said there were large buildings, dome-shaped enclosures, and “towers” with glowing energy sources.
Ingo Swann claimed that aliens were building something on the far side of the moon and they were not being friendly.

Swann also reported that the beings he was observing were aware of his psychic presence. He interpreted this as an indication that these entities possessed advanced mental or psychic capabilities themselves.
Swann went further with his claims. He allegedly told one unnamed US official that he was told the real reason behind NASA’s decision not to return to the Moon after the Apollo missions. It was an unspoken agreement and warning from these extraterrestrial beings. He claimed that one official supposedly remarked, “They have told us to stay away… They are not friendly, are they?”
However, Swann’s claim has not been acknowledged. They have neither confirmed nor denied any of the claims of the presence of aliens on the Moon.

However, the lack of transparent follow-up and the abrupt end to lunar exploration after the 1970s has fueled speculation, especially after Swann’s claims.
Whether Swann’s visions were genuine psychic visions or his imaginations, we might never know. However, the secrecy surrounding Project Stargate and its participants has left many wondering what truths remain hidden behind classified files. As public interest in UFOs and extraterrestrial life surges once more, the CIA’s own past may hold more secrets than we realize.
