The incident unfolded in Franklin at around 4 a.m. on January 20, just hours before President Trump was sworn back into office.

After ramming a sedan into the storefront at Arms and Ammo, suspects tried unsuccessfully to gain entry to the shop before fleeing the scene.

Five suspects, ages 13 to 15 years old, were taken into custody following a pursuit, according to the Franklin Police Department (FPD).

While authorities have refused to release many details about the suspects, FPD did confirm they were residents of Nashville.

This week, the Tennessee Star learned all five suspects are Honduran citizens who were in the country illegally and are now in deportation proceedings.

“A total of 92 illegal immigrants were arrested or convicted in Williamson County during the last three months of 2024, accounting for roughly 10 percent of the arrests in the county,” the Star reports, citing the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference.
