Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has urged leftists to take to the streets and commit acts of violence against Trump supporters.
During a press conference Friday attacking President Trump’s recent criticisms of DEI programs following Wednesday night’s deadly DC mid-air collision, Jeffries urged leftists upset over the MAGA agenda to “fight in the streets.”
Infowars.com reports: “We are going to fight it legislatively, we are going to fight it in the courts, and we’re going to fight it in the streets,” Jeffries said, failing to offer further clarification.
Jeffries’ comments were interpreted as a dog whistle rallying leftist activists, a standard Democrat tactic stirring up Trump Derangement Syndrome-suffering mobs into a state of operational readiness by threatening potential civil unrest.
Here are a few examples of Democrats issuing thinly-veiled calls to violence:
Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) in 2018 told leftist activists to “get up in the face of some congresspeople.”
Democrat Rep. Joaquin Castro (Texas) also in 2019 said Dems would “fight [Trump] in the streets” to oppose his agenda.
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) in 2018 threatened ‘widespread civil unrest’ if Trump fired former FBI Director Robert Mueller.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper similarly said firing Mueller would cause a “firestorm … in the streets.”
Former Barack Obama Attorney General Eric Holder modified Democrats’ popular line, “When they go low, we go high,” to say, “When they go low, we kick them.”
Here’s a great compilation of Democrats calling on their followers to get violent when things don’t go their way:
The Trump team slammed Jeffries over the remarks Friday, stating, “While President Trump remains focused on uniting our country and delivering the mandate set by the American people, the House Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, incites violence calling for people to fight ‘in the streets’ against President Trump’s agenda.”
“This unhinged violent rhetoric is dangerous. Leader Jeffries should immediately apologize,” the Trump camp said in a statement obtained by Fox News.
A spokesman for Jeffries said it was “laughable” he supports violence and claimed his comments referred to “nonviolent protest.”
